School Day
A normal school day at Prenton Prep looks like this:
Beyond School
The curriculum is supported by a variety of educational visits and the opportunities as our minibus opens up the world beyond the school gates complementing the pupils’ education in all areas of the curriculum with visits ranging from a trip to the park for a minibeast hunt to as far away as the Colomendy Outdoor Education Centre in North Wales. Each class benefits from at least one trip per term which enhances their curriculum to include learning through experiences outside the classroom.
Recent trips have included; going to Conway castle, taking part in a World War One experience, visiting interactive science museums and historical displays at the Liverpool museums, studying the village of Port Sunlight, library visits, pond dipping and exploring habitats in the local parks, making pizzas at Pizza Express, meeting Father Christmas, a Pantomime and many, many more! We also try to supplement our curriculum with visitors into school. Recent events have included a Science Day with visiting scientists running a Science in Space day, cooking with the Junior Chef team and the Kinetic Theatre performing a Science show.
