Music and Performing Arts
Music is a key part of life at Prenton and is a source of enjoyment for all our children. In addition to class music lessons, children have the opportunity to learn a variety of instruments on a one-to-one basis including guitar, ukulele, piano and keyboards, and all junior children are taught to play the recorder. Singing is an integral part of the school's cultural life with a variety of musical presentations and charity performances featuring regularly on the school calendar. The Infant and Pre-School classes put on two performance for parents each year, giving the children the opportunity to display their many talents.
Children's speaking skills are encouraged through both participation in assemblies and drama presentations.
The highlight of the musical year is our annual concert which takes place at the Gladstone Theatre, Port Sunlight and includes the performance of a well-known musical by our junior department.
